Cookie Policy

Effective date: [DD Month YYYY] · Version 1.0

This Cookie Policy explains how [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME PRIVATE LIMITED], trading as CA Monk, uses cookies and similar technologies. It covers our website at https://www.camonk.com and our tools application at tools.camonk.com. Both applications share a single record of your cookie choices, so a choice you make in one applies to the other.

Read it together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file that a website stores on your device. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and pixels, and in this policy we refer to all of them as cookies. Some are set by us and some are set by the companies whose services we use.

Cookies we use

The tables below list the cookies used across the CA Monk platform. Where a value appears in square brackets we are confirming the exact value with the relevant provider and will publish it here.

Strictly necessary (always active)

These are required for the platform to work. They keep you signed in, keep your session secure, remember your cookie choices, and let our content team preview unpublished pages. They cannot be switched off.

[Sanity draft-mode cookie name]Sanitycamonk.comLets signed-in members of our content team preview unpublished pages. Not set for ordinary visitors.[duration]

Diagnostics and error monitoring (always active)

We use Sentry to detect and fix faults. Sentry does not set cookies on our website, but when an error occurs it receives the technical details of that error, including the page address, your browser and device information, IP address, and, if you are signed in, your user ID, email address, and name. It may also read the contents of the request that failed. We do not use this data for advertising or profiling.

Analytics (optional)

These help us understand how the platform is used so that we can improve it. They are used in our tools application at tools.camonk.com and tell us things like which pages are visited and which features are used.

NameProviderDomainPurposeDuration
[PostHog cookie and local storage keys]PostHog[domain]Product analytics. Records which pages and features you use and links that activity to a browser or account identifier.[duration]
[GA4 cookie names]Google Analytics[domain]Measures visits, traffic sources, and how people move through the platform.[duration]
[Google Tag Manager]Google[domain]Loads and manages the analytics and marketing tags listed in this policy.[duration]

Session recording (optional)

Session recording captures a replay of how you interacted with a page so that we can find usability problems and reproduce faults. Text and form inputs are masked by default, but the recording still captures page addresses, clicks, and navigation. It is listed separately from analytics because it is more intrusive.

NameProviderDomainPurposeDuration
[PostHog session recording identifiers]PostHog[domain]Records page interactions so that we can diagnose usability problems and faults.[duration]

Marketing and advertising (optional)

These measure how well our campaigns work and let us show relevant advertising on other platforms. Meta uses the data it receives for its own advertising purposes as well as ours.

External media and embedded forms (optional)

Some pages embed content served by other companies. The video content is ours, but the player is operated by the provider, so your browser contacts that provider directly and it may set its own cookies and receive your IP address, device details, and the address of the page you are on.

Your choices

You can change your choice at any time using [cookie settings control]. Withdrawing your agreement is as straightforward as giving it. Your choice is stored in a cookie on .camonk.com and in our own records, so it applies to both our website and our tools application.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the platform working, including signing in. If you clear your cookies, we will ask for your choice again.

Changes to this policy

If we add a provider or start using cookies for a new purpose, we will update this policy and, where your agreement is needed, ask you again.
